Hello I am Cherry van Hilten.
I was born in Thailand in 1968. I graduated from Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok Thailand. What I actually studied and what I am doing now is not connected with each other - it's totally different. My major was mass communication for newspaper, advertisement and television.
In 2003 before I came to the Netherlands, I learned Thai traditional massage from Watpho in Thailand which I completed with certificate. This massage school, at the present time, is very popular with people from around the world. They go there to follow the Thai traditional massage course.
Since August 2003, I have been in the Netherlands and started giving foot and chair massage in the Darling market in Rijswijk. My friend and I were the first people that gave massages there and we have been very successful until now. Our clients from 6 years ago are still coming back to us.
Nowadays it is very popular and useful. Concerns for Health and Stress management have made this massage very popular as it is safe, non-toxic and promotes well-being. The warm touch of the massage is the most advantage form of removing muscle aches, migraine, headache, neck, hands, legs, foot pain and good sleeping. Thai massage has been taught from generation to generation by their own skill
- Massage is one of the oldest, simplest form of therapy and is a system of stroking, pressing and kneading different areas of the body to relieve pain, relax, stimulate, and tone the body.
- Massage does much more than create a pleasant sensation on the skin, it also works on the soft tissues(the muscles, tendons, and ligaments) to improve muscle tone.
- Although it largely affects those muscles just under the skin, its benefits may also reach the deeper layers of muscle and possibly even the organs themselves.
- Massage also stimulates blood circulation and assists the lymphatic system (which runs parallel to the circulatory system), improving the elimination of waste throughout the body.
Benefits of Massage Therapy
- Massage therapy increases blood supply, oxygen, and nutrition to muscle tissue, joints, and the vital organs, and improves circulation throughout the body. Massage therapy helps muscles to recover more quickly from exertion and fatigue.
- Massage therapy aids in the relief of muscle spasms and cramping and helps in the prevention of muscular atrophy.
- Massage therapy promotes a greater range of motion in joints and keeps ligaments and tendons supple.
- Massage therapy is relaxing, and it certainly feels good, but there are many benefits to massage of which you may not be aware.
- It helps muscles to recover more quickly from exertion and fatigue (especially useful after a strenuous workout), and helps to relieve the pain and discomfort associated with muscle tension,
- Massage therapy is a massage-based treatment for pain and discomfort of muscles and joints using hands-on manipulation of soft tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin.
- While it has been accepted for some time that massage can relieve muscle stress and body tension,
- fractures, sprains, sciatica, and stiff joints.
Massage with the special combined oils twice a week is a good procedure. And if you can also do it by yourself at home everyday, that will be completely perfect!
